"My grandmother, Estée, launched the first Private Collection fragrance in 1973, with the idea of sharing a special scent she had originally created just for herself. While I was the Creative Director of Estée Lauder, I worked on Tuberose Gardenia – a scent that joined Private Collection, and was a tribute to my grandmother and two of my favorite flowers, Tuberose and Gardenia.
